Our sessions

Key Topics: Fossils, Adaptations, Evolution

Dive into the world of fossils with us. We take a look at creatures from the past and whether we can form a timeline of creatures from today, taking a look at their evolution and adaptations over time. With this workshop, we bring a range of fossils and skulls for children to look and discover for themselves how exactly these new creatures came to be.

Key Topics: Life Cycles, Food Chains, Habitats, Biology

Take flight with our creativity and discover how birds’ bodies have been adapted to support flight. We then look at how birds fit into our eco-systems have form part of our food chains with us seeing both predators and prey.

Key Topics: Life Cycles, Food Chains, Habitats, Geography

How have lakes and rivers been formed over years and what part do they play in the creatures that live within? Have a go at pond dipping to find and identify creatures before taking a look at the surrounding landscapes.

Key Topics: Adaptations, Pollination, Biology

An easily recognisable bunch of creatures that children of all ages have witnessed in their lives. We take a look at different types of bees; queen, worker and social, as well as shapes of butterflies and plant flowers to see whether we can form connections between adaptations.

Key Topics: Pollution, Adaptations, Biology, Conservation

Delve into the deep with us looking at marine creatures! Throughout this workshop, we look at the unique techniques used by whales, dolphins and seals and how these benefit the creatures. We also look at the effects humans have on the ocean and how we can do better, coming up with our own missions.

Key Topics: Life Cycles, Food Chains, Habitats, Adaptation

Who lives in the different habitats around us? We take a look under the soil, in the trees and in flying above the plants to identify what minibeasts are around us. Go on a minibeast hunt before looking at creating a microhabitat of our own.

We are experienced in working with all ages and those with SEN/AN needs. If you have anything you wish to be adapted to suit pupils in your class, please speak to us and we have the experience to adapt our sessions to suit all of your children/group members.
