Day One – Campo Grande / Caimen (Miranda)

On arrival, you’ll be picked up from Campo Grande Airport and transported to Caiman. When you arrive, you’ll have chance to settle into your Lodge, relax and enjoy your first wildlife activities.

Day Two and Three – Exploring Caiman and Conservation Projects

On your first morning, you’ll explore the Pantanal’s remarkable biodiversity through a range of guided activities. During your stay, visit the Hyacinth Macaw project and Oncafari, a jaguar research and conservation program, both of which call this extraordinary region home. You’ll then venture into the Pantanal’s largest private properties searching for iconic wildlife like Lowland tapir, giant anteaters and jabirus, as well as a huge variety of bird life.

Day Four – Scenic Flight to Fazenda Barranco Alto

Once you’ve finished breakfast, you’ll head out to enjoy a spectacular panoramic flight to Fazenda Barranco Alto. As you fly, watch the incredible views of Southern Pantanal, take in the saline lakes, freshwater mosaic and view the winding Negro River. Viewing the Pantanal from the air offers you a unique view of one of the most pristine and untouched regions.

Day Five & Six – The Negro River

You’ll get to spend these days exploring some of the best untouched regions of Southern Pantanal. Time spent at this location will be planned according to your interests. Because these days are flexible, you’ll get a custom experience according the wildlife conditions. What’s more, you’ll be able to explore by boat, canoe, jeep, and even by horse! Among the species you may see, watch for Black skimmer, Kingfisher, Toucan, Herons, Raptors and, if you’re lucky, the Giant river otter.

Day Seven – Safari to Baia das Pedras

After breakfast, you’ll be taken on one of the most scenic journeys through the Pantanal. Along the way, you’ll explore the remote wilderness during this 4 hour drive. Anything is possible as you venture into this incredible landscape. Keep your camera with you as you never know what surprising wildlife encounters you may have…

Day Eight and Nine – Nhecolandia

Explore one of the most spectacular landscapes, the Vazante do Castelo, one of the largest floodplains. Stretching for almost 100km, this incredible wetland is home to a huge number of waterbirds. As a result, this makes for an excellent photography spot and wildlife discovery. As this tour is flexible, you’ll be able to tailor your days here to tick more species off your wish list. Watch for the Jabiru stork, various whistling ducks, macaws and parrots. With a bit of luck, you might spot owls, caracaras and nightjars.

Day Ten – Return to Campo Grande

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Campo Grande, watching the beautiful landscape change along the way. As you travel across the plains, keep an eye out for traditional cattle drive, where Pantaneiro cowboys guide huge herds of cattle through the wilderness. Then, once you arrive in the city, you can round off your final night in Brazil with dinner at one of Campo Grande’s fantastic restaurants.

Day Eleven – Flight Home

Finally, after a relaxing morning, you’ll be transferred back to Campo Grande Airport for your flight home.
