Nightingale Evening Walk

Join us for a magical evening at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Kent as we set out on a guided evening walk to listen for one of Britain’s most enchanting songbirds: the Nightingale.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll explore the park’s beautiful woodland and lakeside paths,
learning about these remarkable birds and the habitats they call home. With a little luck,
we’ll hear the Nightingale’s exotic song filling the evening twilight.

A perfect event for nature lovers, keen walkers, and anyone looking to experience the wild side of Kent after hours.

Whilst Nightingales will be our main focus of the evening, we’ll be keeping our eyes (and ears peeled) for Warbler species including Garden Warbler and Lesser Whitethroat) and we may even see Hobbies hawking over the lakes.

  • Walk runs from 18:00 until 20:00
  • Ample parking available at the Leybourne Lakes Main Car Park for a small, additional fee. (Car park closes as 21:00)
  • At the start of the Nightingale evening walk, you’ll be met by your Wild Experience Guide, Arron, in the main car park.
  • The entire route will be on hard surfaced paths, but sturdy outdoor shoes are still recommended.
  • Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted on this walk.
  • Don’t forget your binoculars and/or camera for best views!
  • Our route will follow hard surfaced paths (but these can be bumpy)
  • Our aim is to make our walks as accessibility-friendly as possible. If you’d like to find out more about this event, please send any questions to our team.
