Tours for Two: Texel in Spring

Experience singing spring Bluethroats and coastal waders on the island of Texel.

Explore the wonderful spring migration on the island of Texel, searching incredible coastlines, salt marshes and dunes. Spring on Texel offers fantastic opportunities to view Bluethroats singing from willow shrubs, Black Terns breeding in salt marshes and views of waders like Wood Sandpiper in high-water meadows.

The island is rich in wildlife, with breeding White-tailed Eagles, displaying Ruff, Black-Tailed Godwits and Pygmy Cormorants. There may be opportunities to see the island’s colonies of Spoonbills and Terns, both Sandwich and Little. We’ll be exploring areas on Texel known for their rich wildlife, spectacular views and aim to give you exclusive wildlife encounters.

If you’re a nature lover or a birdwatching fanatic, spring on Texel offers excellent chances to observe wildlife and create a memorable trip to be treasured.

Day Two & Three

On day two we’ll visit the high-water meadows of Waalenburg to view breeding waders, including Black-tailed Godwits, Ruff and Avocets. Day three explores De Slufter salt marsh for nesting terns, waders, and further opportunities for Bluethroats in the surrounding dune slacks.
