Spring Migrant Walk

Celebrate the arrival of spring migrants with a guided bird walk at RSPB Nagshead, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean.

A photograph of a pied flycatcher, a wood warbler, and a redstart

As the woodland bursts into life, we’ll explore the reserve’s scenic trails in search of
returning summer migrants. Listen for the melodic ‘spinning coin’ song of Wood Warblers, look out for Flycatchers and Redstarts amongst the ancient oaks, and enjoy the vibrant sights and sounds that make spring such a special time for birdwatching. Wild Boar may also be spotted on this walk.

This relaxed and friendly walk is perfect for beginners and seasoned birders alike.

Along the way, our expert Wild Experience Guides will share identification tips, insights into migration journeys, and the conservation work that helps protect these incredible species.

  • Walk runs from 08:00 – 11:00
